LOCKDOWN LIFE IN PICTURES.

Reading in the communal garden during the brief heatwave.

More lockdown chat! I’m very boring sorry. I’m writing this on a Friday, I’ve just finished one of my outstanding uni reports and just have a few thousand words of a proposal to accomplish over the weekend before I’m free (for about six days before arranging a virtual meeting with my dissertation supervisor).

My life is extremely boring at the moment. I live alone so don’t partake in themed cocktail nights with family or have date nights with a partner. I alternate between sitting in my bed all day or having a day in the living room. I either cook six different things in one day or eat oven chips at every meal. I have a bath every day even though I don’t like baths that much. I’m trying not to wash my hair and am so far on day four. I cry pretty much every day. My plants feel like they’re dropping dead around me (rude, they’re all the living company I have at the moment) and I can go all day without using my voice other than to talk to myself when I exclaim something like ‘hurrah!’ when I finally scrub a stubborn pan I left dirty for weeks clean.

A time for the history books I can’t wait to leave behind and have some resemblance of a life back. And I don’t know, maybe I’m asking for too much, but a hug from someone ANYONE would be nice?

I rearranged my bedroom one weekend when bored.
I have watched a lot of Disney+ including one of my childhood favourites, The Aristocats.
Was very into iced coffee for a whole week. This is the Two Birds Cold Blend and I’ve made myself sick with dalgona coffees.
Dyed my hair pink but it has caused further damage to what was already very unhealthy hair.
Remember when I was going to do yoga every day? That lasted, gosh, two days?
What my socialising looks like. This uni weekly Zoom quiz has saved my wee soul recently.
Made red onion chutney and bought a label maker from Amazon to appropriately label all future endeavours.
Drank Limoncello spritz one Saturday and got quite drunk by myself.
The view from the Botanics over the Kelvin during my one walk. I miss you Glasgow <3
